It's also a last place of hope for those with advanced HIV/AIDS, with many regaining health. For those that don't survive, they arrange funerals with dignity and respect by the local nuns and staff who are often the only ones left to care for those in need.

The clinic offers much needed free general medication, HIV/AIDS health education and emotional support for those individuals and families living with the virus. It also provides some food and cash to help some patients children’s basic school fees.

What’s most apparent when visitors arrive is the level of excitement by the children to see new people – as the need for a simple long lasting hug is valued by many.
