Thien Phouc Handicapped Children’s Centre provides shelter and care for handicapped children who have either been abandoned by their family or by families who struggle to cope with their child’s disability.
The Centre is home to 77 children with wide ranging mental or physical disabilities including some requiring 100% care which is provided by dedicated volunteers. Sister Lan, who runs the Centre relies on regular donations from Chop Vietnam which helps buy food, clothes and hiring of local support staff. If you wish to donate children clothes (light t-shirts, shorts etc) please let us know.
What’s most apparent when visitors arrive is the level of excitement by the children to see new people – as the need for a simple long lasting hug is valued by many.
